Roberta Wiggins is a research fellow in Yankee Group's Enabling Technologies Service Provider group with an expertise in mobility. Wiggins focuses on the evolution of broadband wireless, including emerging cellular and disruptive high-speed wireless technologies, such as Wi-Fi, WiFi-mesh, WiMAX, OFDM and TDD-WCDMA and the adoption of wireless broadband solutions in the consumer, enterprise and municipal markets. She is a leader in forecasting the evolution of broadband solutions, the demand for services and supporting technologies. She assists vendor/carrier clients on strategic initiatives, including market positioning in an increasingly competitive environment and capitalizing for investments in broadband wireless by exploiting opportunities in new service categories.

Previously, Wiggins was director of Yankee Group's Wireless/Mobile United States Decision Service, where she managed the research program, and she was also a senior analyst with the company's data communications division. Her additional areas of expertise included managed data network services and value-added networks (VANs), electronic messaging, electronic data interchange (EDI) and satellite communications. Wiggins joined Yankee Group as an expert in its consulting division, where she worked on proprietary market studies for Yankee Group clients.
